My recent work is a series of large portraits of my sister Maggie. By working with a model, as opposed to continuing self-portraiture, I gain more control over the figure's environment. 

 

By using the same model over multiple works, I am able to alter the surroundings to communicate a variety of messages to the viewer. In these works I am interested in conveying subtle human emotions and experiences through the use of gaze, clothing, and objects.
